Mexican 'serial killer and cannibal', Andrés Mendoza, 72, arrested for 'murdering and dismembering 9 women including his girlfriend' (photos)

  Authorities in Mexico have arrested a suspected 'serial killer cannibal' after they discovered the remains of his 34-year-old missing girlfriend and at least eight other women at his home.   The Attorney General’s Office for the State of Mexico disclosed that the eight other women may have been murdered by Andrés Mendoza, 72, during a 20-year stretch. Imagen Television reported that Mendoza who videotaped the killings of his victims confessed to have eaten their body parts.   Police in the town of Atizapan were conducting a search for Reyna González, a mother of two girls, when they found her dismembered body inside Mendoza’s on Saturday, May 15.  The mother of two was reported missing last Friday after she went to Mendoza’s home at noon to tell him that she was going to end their relationship.    Mendoza did not agree with González’s ending their relationship and reportedly stabbed her inside his home. Three people dead, one injured in truck accident on Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway



The Ogun Command of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Friday, December 20th said three persons died while one person sustained injuries in an accident involving a truck and a Bajaj motorcycle around Toll-Gate on Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.  



Clement Oladele, Sector Commander of FRSC said the accident happened at about 12.59 p.m. on Thursday. Oladele explained that the truck with registration number, KRD 72 XY, had brake failure and rammed into the Bajaj motorcycle, marked AKM039 UP, conveying two female passengers who were just disembarking from the bike.  



The sector commander said that five persons, comprising 3 male adults and two female adults, were involved in the accident. According to him, a passerby died instantly while a female passenger later died after getting to the General Hospital, Ota.

“The corpse of the victims have been deposited at the General Hospital, Ifo, and the only survivor was receiving treatment at General Hospital, Ota,” he said.
The FRSC boss also said that the sum of N72,930 recovered from the scene of the accident had been handed over to the victims’ relations. Oladele commiserated with the family of victims and prayed that the Lord will grant them the fortitude to bear the losses.  



He, however, enjoined motorists to drive cautiously with absolute concentration and give consideration to other road users, noting that some of the crashes were avoidable and caused by non adherence to traffic rules.
