Mexican 'serial killer and cannibal', Andrés Mendoza, 72, arrested for 'murdering and dismembering 9 women including his girlfriend' (photos)

  Authorities in Mexico have arrested a suspected 'serial killer cannibal' after they discovered the remains of his 34-year-old missing girlfriend and at least eight other women at his home.   The Attorney General’s Office for the State of Mexico disclosed that the eight other women may have been murdered by Andrés Mendoza, 72, during a 20-year stretch. Imagen Television reported that Mendoza who videotaped the killings of his victims confessed to have eaten their body parts.   Police in the town of Atizapan were conducting a search for Reyna González, a mother of two girls, when they found her dismembered body inside Mendoza’s on Saturday, May 15.  The mother of two was reported missing last Friday after she went to Mendoza’s home at noon to tell him that she was going to end their relationship.    Mendoza did not agree with González’s ending their relationship and reportedly stabbed her inside his home. NDLEA intercepts 4.9million tramadol capsules at Onne Port (photos)

 












Efforts by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA to block access and availability of illicit substances have again led to the interception of a container bearing 4,996,200 capsules of tramadol weighing 2,498.2 kilograms at the Onne Port, Port Harcourt, Rivers state.


 


A statement released by Femi Babafemi, spokesperson of the NDLEA, said the seizure of the illicit drug concealed in 1,387 cartons on Tuesday, May 18, followed a joint examination by NDLEA operatives and Customs personnel on a container marked MRKU 0764717, which had since been on the Agency's watch list.


 


In a related development, a 42-year-old Muntari Hamidu has been arrested in Nyibango, Jimeta, Yola, Adamawa state with 13 sacks of Cannabis Sativa weighing 166kg. This is just as 35-year-old Sani Musa was nabbed with16.1kg of skunk at Ngurore, Yola South LGA of the state. Both were arrested on Sunday 16th May, 2021.


 


Babafemi said on the same day, a team of NDLEA operatives from Ondo State Command also arrested one James Godspower with 36.5kg of Cannabis Sativa in Faloye, Ogbese, Akure North LGA of Ondo State.
