Mexican 'serial killer and cannibal', Andrés Mendoza, 72, arrested for 'murdering and dismembering 9 women including his girlfriend' (photos)

  Authorities in Mexico have arrested a suspected 'serial killer cannibal' after they discovered the remains of his 34-year-old missing girlfriend and at least eight other women at his home.   The Attorney General’s Office for the State of Mexico disclosed that the eight other women may have been murdered by Andrés Mendoza, 72, during a 20-year stretch. Imagen Television reported that Mendoza who videotaped the killings of his victims confessed to have eaten their body parts.   Police in the town of Atizapan were conducting a search for Reyna González, a mother of two girls, when they found her dismembered body inside Mendoza’s on Saturday, May 15.  The mother of two was reported missing last Friday after she went to Mendoza’s home at noon to tell him that she was going to end their relationship.    Mendoza did not agree with González’s ending their relationship and reportedly stabbed her inside his home. Policeman returns N1.2m recovered at accident scene to family of deceased victim in Kano






 A police Sergeant attached to the Kano State Police Command, Kabiru Isah, has returned N1.2 million recovered from an accident scene to the family of the deceased victim. 


 


Spokesperson of the command, ASP Abdullahi Haruna, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, May 15, in Kano, said the officer found the huge sum while conducting analysis at an accident scene along Kano-Zaria-Road. 







The spokesman said that the victim died on the spot after he was knocked down by a trailer while riding on his motorcycle with the money packed in a shoe box.


 


"On the 10/05/2021, a police officer by name, Seageant Kabiru Isah, attached to the Command's Motor Traffic Division (MTD) returned the sum of one million, two hundred and ninety four thousand, two hundred Naira (N1,294,200.00) found at the scene of a fatal accident," Haruna stated.


 


"The officer discovered the money while conducting scene alalysis, minutes after the fatal accident. The deceased was knocked down by a Trailer along Zaria Road Kano while on his motorcycle, in possession of the said amount of money arranged in a shoe box," he added.


 


The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama'ila Shu'aibu Dikko, while handing over the money to the relatives of the deceased, called on police officers, as well as good people of the state to emulate the behavior displayed by the officer.


 


He also commended the officer for doing his job in accordance with the directives of the Inspector General of Police, Ag. IGP Alkali Baba Usman.


 


Overwhelmed with the behavior displayed by the police officer, the Managing Director, Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA) DR. Baffa Babba Dan Agundi rewarded the officer with the sum of one hundred thousand Naira (N100,000.00).


 


While handing over the money through the State Traffic Officer (STO), SP Magaji Musa Majia, MD KAROTA stated that he was happy that the police officer involved is attached to the Traffic Division of the Command and called on the good people of the State to emulate the good behavior displayed by the officer.


 


"We appreciate what the police are doing in Kano and we must give them all necessary support and cooperation." he said.
