Mexican 'serial killer and cannibal', Andrés Mendoza, 72, arrested for 'murdering and dismembering 9 women including his girlfriend' (photos)

  Authorities in Mexico have arrested a suspected 'serial killer cannibal' after they discovered the remains of his 34-year-old missing girlfriend and at least eight other women at his home.   The Attorney General’s Office for the State of Mexico disclosed that the eight other women may have been murdered by Andrés Mendoza, 72, during a 20-year stretch. Imagen Television reported that Mendoza who videotaped the killings of his victims confessed to have eaten their body parts.   Police in the town of Atizapan were conducting a search for Reyna González, a mother of two girls, when they found her dismembered body inside Mendoza’s on Saturday, May 15.  The mother of two was reported missing last Friday after she went to Mendoza’s home at noon to tell him that she was going to end their relationship.    Mendoza did not agree with González’s ending their relationship and reportedly stabbed her inside his home. Sheik Dahiru Bauchi defies Sultan of Sokoto, holds Eid on Wednesday

   



Renowned Islamic Scholar, Sheik Dahiru Usman Bauchi on Wednesday May 13 conducted Eid prayers, in defiance to the directive of the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar. 


 


The prayers was against the Sultan of Sokoto (spiritual head of Muslims in the country)  directive for Muslims in the country to continue fasting on Wednesday.


 


Sa'ad had declared Thursday, May 13, 2021, as the day of Salat and the first day of Shawwal.



However Eid prayers held at the Bauchi residence of Sheik Bauchi on Wednesday. Daily Trust reported that one of the cleric’s children, Tijjani Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi led the congregation with the cleric in attendance.

Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi and some of his followers have observed his Eid-ul Fitr today.





  Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh AbdulGaniyu Abubakry Agbotomokekere also performed Eid prayers at the Ibadan Central Eid praying ground, Agodi on Wednesday. It was attended by Oyo State deputy Governor, Rauf Olaniyan and the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji.
